What is it exactly colleges look at??

In the united states what are the real things that colleges look for i hear so many different stories..

do they look at your final exams?? regents grades?? final grades?? every single test score ?? what is it because im really curious

it all depends on what college you are applying to. but all colleges look at interim grades and report card grades, your overall gpa, and any extracurricular activities you were in. (clubs, fundraisers, etc...)

- Your overall GPA
- GPA for sophomore and junior year
- SAT scores
- Activities you were involved in- clubs, sports, etc.
- Well-rounded person with good grades

They also look for someone who does well on the interview and writes a strong essay.
