Spermicide Condoms irritating?

i was wondering something I heard about. I got some spermicide condoms with nonoxynol-9 and I was wondering if they often irritate women? I just want to make sure my girlfriend is comfortable during and after sex. What do you guys think? Should i go get diffrent ones?

Condoms with spermicide are no more effective at preventing the passage of an STI than condoms without spermicide. Here's the deal: N9 (a detergent) causes irritation to the lining of the vagina increasing the chances that there will be the transfer of an STI, including HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. N9 also causes urinary tract infections (which are very painful for women). It is best to get latex condoms and a separately sold lubricant that does not contain N9 or condoms lubricated with a silicone lubricant. You should ALWAYS buy condoms with spermicide. They are the most effective condoms on the market. You should try those and see if she's okay. Most girls are okay with those. It's just a trial and error thing.

Well, I'm not a guy, but I can tell you that it is NOT supposed to be irritating. And it is a good idea to use the condoms with the spermacide. She may be allerigic to it though. And the only way to find out is to try them. If she has very sensitive skin, that could be a problem. Some women can't even have their mates used condoms because they are allergic to latex.
