Okay, I do agree with your dad.
Tongue piercings are horrible. It is rare, BUT you can actually die from getting your tongue pierced. Even if you don't die, you can get some serious diseases. But if you honestly honestly want to get it pierced, maybe tell him that you will pay for it. And you will take care of everything, etc.

Although I agree with your father, I'm helping anyways.

Offer to pay for it yourself. Tell him you'll take really good care of it. Then if he allows you to, prove it to him.

Don't argue with him about it though. If you get an attitude & argue & yell, the answer will stay the same. Talk calmly, make some valid points, and see if anything changes. If nothing does change though, accept your fathers decision & wait until you're 18 so you can get it on your own without parental consent.

ugh I'm going threw the same problem. Changing parents mind is hard. Mine finally told me i can when im 18, but thats like 2 years away. Try telling him you will get the money yourself so he doent have to pay. DONT Use the excuse 'everyone has it though' or something like that, bad idea. Dont beg either. Just calmly talk it out with him.

Jess<3 hope it helps.
