I failed my previous grade! I have to go to summer school, but I don't think I can make it to the next grade. I realy want to move on, but I know I won't be able to pay attention. My counsular said I was passing the grade I failed two weeks before school let out. I'm mad cuz she lied to me. I'm scared that I might fail summer school and be held back. HELP!!!!!!!!!

Pretty much the only reason people fail classes is because they don't put in enough effort. You have to TRY. You can't say "I'm going to fail, so there's no point in trying". That's bull, if you TRY to pass, you WILL.
Summer school is easy. Just go, be dedicated to it, and you will go on to the next grade. Once you get there, you have to put in a big effort next school year. You can't slack off. School is important, and even if you go to summer school, your record still has a failed year on it. You don't want more than one of those, believe me.
And your counselor probably didn't lie. Maybe you were passing at the time, and when she told you, you got a little cocky and slacked off...then you failed. Also, final exams are worth a lot and your counselor can't predict what kind of grades you are going to get at the end of the year. [ lbwhite89's advice column | Ask lbwhite89 A Question ]

Passing summer school isn't hard, and neither is normal school. Just do your work, study when needed, and ask questions when you don't understand something.
If you can do that, you can pass. You just gotta work hard & be determined. So go to summer school, do the work, ask some questions & do what you've gotta do.
I highly doubt your counselor lied to you though. You probably did have a chance of passing, but you didn't do the work or try hard enough. I'm not giving either of you blame, but I doubt she lied to you about passing. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
