difference between jealousy and envy?

envy is to admire yet have grudges for what a person has(can be an object or a trait) while jealousy is a feeling fealt when someone gets something that you want(Especially love or attention)theyre kinda the same in some way.

jealousy is more of a negative attitude towards someone while envy is more of a positive.

for example, if you're hating on me because... i have a really nice boyfriend and we've been together for awhile but you also want a really nice boyfriend & want to have a good relationship with someone, then you're jealous of me.

if you're happy for the two of us, and you want what we have with someone of your own, you're envious of me. and him.

I don't think there's a huge difference. Jealousy & Envy go hand in hand basically. Here are the correct definitions-

If you check out the thesaurus [on the same site] they are each others synonyms. Basically jealousy=envy & envy=jealously.
