okay, just to warn you in advance, this is going to be looong. i have the same problem as you.

dont take a shower the day you're doing your hair (or dont get your hair wet in the shower) that way you'll have a nautral hold. when your ready to do your hair, you'll want to wet it a little..just so its damp and then put mousse in your hair starting from root to tip. brush your hair to make it even. now, dry your hair with a diffuser (i find these work best but a hair dryer is just as effective). dry your hair upside down, this adds volume to your hair. now put some leave in conditioner if your hair is frizzy. brush your hair with a wide tooth comb to get out all the knots. if you have layers, divide your hair up based on them and if you dont, just divide your hair up. i usually divide mine up in 5 parts. (2 on each side and 1 in the back.) put a considerable amount of mousse in the sections. start with one section and divide it up into pieces (depending on the width of your culing iron and how curly you want it) curl each section but don't undo the curls, leave them tight. when your done curling, use a curl booster (i use CATWALK curl booster) and run it through your hair seperating the curls. when you like how it looks, lightly spray each layer with hair spray.

it should stay but scrunch some mousse into it every once in a while. i know it seems like a lot of stuff but, trust me it works!

hope this helps!

Well what you need to do is put gel in your hair right out of the shower when it is damp. You need a gel that adds more texture to your hair. The more texture your hair has the more hold it will have for curling. After than get a curling iron, not a silver one, but get one that is gold plated and ceramic. They are hotter and work sooo much better. After each curl you do use a hairspray that has a strong hold and spray the curls down. Hope I helped hun :)

I have the same Problem. My hair is very thin and straight. I use hot curlers or I have this special curling iron with a wire thing around it. It works but only for about an hour. I use lots of hair spray but nothing really works. Try curlers when your hair is wet and go to bed with them in, and take them out in the morning. Works for me.Hope this helps. <3 rd

mousee and gel don't work in my hair either; mine's too thick. curling shampoo didn't work at all when i used it, so i dont recommend it. i curl my hair with a curling iron like this: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
i have it and it works really well. it takes a good hour, but it's worth it. just watch tv or something while your doing your hair and time will go by fast :)
you could also go to a hair salon. that's what i did for my 8th grade graduation last year. good luck!

I would suggest washing your hair with a curling shampoo. Everyone has different hair, so I would suggest going to a local drug store or grocery store & looking for the right shampoo for your hair type. Then after you wash it & dry it, curl your hair with a curling iron. There's a bunch of different brands. You can go to walmart, cvs, eckard, jc penny, kohls, etc. They all have good curling irons. If that still doesn't work, try going to the hair dresser to give you ideas. They always have different shampoos & curlers to try & can give you tips.

-hope that helped!♥
