the are low in calories and you should always it a fruit a day i think if you eat like everyday you probaly lose a little of weight
lbwhite89 answered Friday June 8 2007, 9:07 am: Well if all you ate was lemons for a few months, you would definitely lose weight, but that's pretty much physically impossible, so I'm guessing you're asking if lemon juice is a dietary supplement.
The answer to that is no. It makes your water taste better without making it less healthy and can give some dishes a little kick, but it does have some sugar in it. It is a fruit. It's not bad for you, but it won't speed up your weight loss.
One thing that could help is grapefruit. It's bigger, lasts longer, and is supposed to accompany weight loss. One grapefruit a day could ultimately help you out. [ lbwhite89's advice column | Ask lbwhite89 A Question ]
Michele answered Friday June 8 2007, 8:04 am: No, not as an addition to your daily food intake Lemons by themselves do not make you skinny. But if you eat lemons in place of potato chips, ice cream and cookies, you will certainly loose weight because lemons are LOW in calories and contain no fat. But who can eat lemons? Truth is, to loose weight, you have to take in less calories than you burn each day. Eating foods like fruits and vegatables, salads and fish, are better for your body than junk food. They contain less calories and add more bulk to your diet. Excercise is also very important.
