Names for characters

Question Posted Wednesday June 6 2007, 8:27 pm

I'm writing an adventure novel, but I can't think of any names to call the boy and his horse. The boy is about 17, and the horse is brown, if it helps. Thanks in advance.

the horse is brown, you say?
browny

plain and simple

or how about stephen and MTS (my trusty steed)

or he could be german!
Ste-van-housen and Giant Turd

you should totally go with giant turd for the horse
it's funny and imaginative!

The boy shall be named Vladimir, and the horse shall be called Chocolate.

Well its always annoying when the name of things in books are long, so for the boys name something like Jake or Ryan. And for the horse a long name with a short nickname is always cute. So maybe something like Mint Julip (Jewel), or for a gelding That Apollo of Mine (Apollo). Can't wait to read it (I am a horse owner so I love books about horses.)

name the horse somethin that has nothing to do with a horse like "butterfly"or something like that. as for the boy, base his name on the setting, like if they live in the south, give him a hillbilly name
