i absoulty hate my dad. omg. like. i cant stand him. hes so anoyying, i mean, ive always hated him, and i tired telling my mom, and she tried to fix it, but it didnt work. anyways, i spent like forever cooking this one thing, and hes like it taste like shit. and im like omg. and my mom was like focing him to eat it. and then, he never listens to me, like i always told him to take my dog out with the leash. but he never listened, and my dog ended up dieing, because of him. if he would have listened to me, it wouldn't of happened. and hes just so stupid sometimes, anything i do, is never good enough. & then for like all of 7th grade, i like failed all my classes, just to see what he'd do. and then i decided that was stupid, because im smart, and the quicker i can get out of the house and away from him, the better. and all he cares about is my brothers, and there stupid sports. but, when i was in cheerleading, and beauty pagents, he never even wanted to go. i mean yeah sure i know that would be boring for a guy, but still. anyways, my point is, how do i ignore him? or what can i do?

I think you should talk to your dad. Communication is key. Maybe you can find out why he is doing this. IF that doesnt work ask your mom to sighn you both up for counsling be cause a relationship with your dad is an important thing in life.If he is still like that i think that you should not ignore him but stop giving a fuss to impress him.

The first thing you need to do talk to him about you problems this may not work right away but by spending time with him you will better be able to understand eachothers point of view. also, DO NOT IGNORE HIM

i definitely know how you feel.
my dads almost the same way.
what i do is deal with it. if he
dies, you're gonna feel like shit.
so spend the most time you can
with your dad, because you're gonna
regret it. whenever he wants
to cook something, volunteer to help.
go to the movies. watch sports (even
though you might find this boring)
do anything you guys can do to
feel close. trust me, even
though this is like the
last thing on your mind, trust me
and go through with it.

ok talk to him have a father and daughter talk one on one ask him if you wanna go to the movies together but i promise if he ever dies on no matter what age you are you will feel like crap and wish he never died and love him but that can be 90 years from now but remember he loves you no matter what but he cant show it hes a guy but try to talk to him and like try out for basketball or something and see if he goes but try to talk to him if it doesn't work then ignore him and just mind your own business hang otu iwth your friends go to school and get good grades and just dont get in his business and you will be fine hope i helped

First off. Don't say "like" so often. Makes you seem like a stereotypical overdramatic teen.
But anyway. ignoring him will only make it worse. I know I sound like a lunatic saying this. But its true. when something annoys you, and you attempt to ignore it, you notice it more. whereas if you just say "Ok. my dad's an asshole, but he's my dad. I'm going to love him anyway" you'll find out more to love about him. Kind of like in school how there's cliques of people who don't like eachother. I'm the person who is friends with the people like you, and with your mortal enemies. Because once you look past whatever prejudice or thoughts against them you have, you find so much more. and you can really learn a lot from different people.
In the long run, it will really help you a lot to give people a shot then give your best to get them. ... Just try. For instance, instead of "telling him.." try asking. and ask for an opinion, and when he's rude, just tell him that you don't appreciate remarks like that. and be just all around polite, He will start to change his ways.
