well me and my boyfriend have been to dying to have sex for a while, but we don't know when we should. and i'm afraid to get pregnant and he's afraid of getting me that way.
we have protection, but does it really help? would we have nothing to worry about if we did use it?
and without protection, when would be the absolute best time to have sex without getting me pregnant?
thanks in advance.
note: i don't want ppl saying we shouldn't do it. i know we probably shouldn't, but it's our choice.

The worst times to have sex without protection, is 3 days before and 3 days after your period, because of ovualation. It's your choice, so I hope I helped. :)

But if you want to have sex and you dont want to get pregnant then it depends how much protection you are willing to use. Where ever you live, there are always way of getting birth control pills which are highly effective as long as you take them properly as directed (after your period everyday at a certain time) is the best way. If you don't want your mom to know there are ways of getting birth control pills discreetly but you have to find which places where you live will help you. On top of using the pill, at the same time your man can use a condom (not a 25 cent condom you find in despensers :P ) for the best protection possible. Taking the pill is more effective than even a condom, but together, theyr'e like 99.9999999 effective. Also, the pill DOES NOT protect you from std's, so if your bf has been with anyone prior (but it doesnt sound like it) the condom is better protection against sexually transmitted diseases. If you choose to start being sexually active, make sure you always know your partners history and if he's clean. A lot of times, guys can be skanky bcuz they think getting a lot of girls is what it's about (especially when there in there immature teen years) yet they contract std's and may not have any symptoms and then end up unknowingly passing it on to you...so BE CAREFUL, but other than that, if its the right time and your with the right guy, sex is awesome. [2]Yeah, protection does help. It's better if you have double the protection [not two condoms], such as birth control & a condom.
[3]There is no time not to get pregnant without a condom. There's always a chance, so it's best you use protection. Especially because you're young & you don't want children. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
xhoneylee answered Wednesday June 6 2007, 4:39 pm: protection helps, but still it's still not 100% gurantee, and be sure to put on the condom right or yeah... haha, oh and there is no such thing as " best time " w/o getting pregnant, because if you have unprotected sex or protected there is no such thing as not getting pregnant or whatever, sorry but lifes no fair ;[
i hope your relationship works fine hun!

BrenaBopps answered Wednesday June 6 2007, 4:37 pm: the only time you really should do it
is if youre ready
and yes your right is it your choice
so if youre ready then by all means
no one can really tell you not to
but usually you wont get pregnant if you use a condom
and theres always birth control
there isnt really a good time or a bad time to do it
just when you want to basically [ BrenaBopps's advice column | Ask BrenaBopps A Question ]
