My weight and fitness

Question Posted Monday June 4 2007, 1:41 am

I'm a 14 year old female. I am 5 foot 2, and I weigh a little over 130 pounds. I'm very concerned about my weight lately, because I'm not the thinnest person, and people deffinately notice. This summer, I'm really working on my image and toning up. Every night, I drink 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, I do push-ups which I increase by 2 everyday [I'm on 14 right now.] I also do sit-ups[which I do depending on what I feel like.] I'm noticing a few results, and my health freak of a sister said that I looked thinner today. What else can I do? I want the quickest way to lose my weight, and tone up. I want to be at least down to 110 by the time school starts back up. I also want to lose my chest but I have no idea how to. I've tried squats, but I'm not sure how to do them right. I am also going to try step-ups. I really can't walk or run because I don't live in the safest kind of neighborhood, and my mother is a saftey nut. What can I do in the privacy of my room?

The exercises you're doing are great for toning up your body and building muscle, but the best way to shed pounds is through aerobic exercise; that is, something that gets your heart pumping and gets you sweating! Find something that you enjoy doing, and do it for 30 minutes every day. Jumproping is great, or you might try getting an aerobics video. If you like to dance, just turn on some music and dance in front of the mirror for half an hour every day. As for losing your chest... breasts are made up mostly of fat, and when you start to lose weight, that's often the first part of your body to start shrinking. You can't make your chest smaller than it's naturally meant to be, but getting your weight down should make some difference. Good luck, and keep up the good work!
