uisforukelele answered Thursday May 31 2007, 4:54 pm: oh, i hate when that happens! here's what you can do: sore throat lozenges (like chloraseptic, or chloraseptic spray even though they both taste like crap), cough drops, hot tea! drink lots of hot things, tea being the best. don't drink cold stuff, and don't talk too much. make sure to get enough rest. gargle with warm salt water repeatedly (maybe a few times when you get up, or when you go to sleep). i'm not really sure about this one because i'm not sure if it's true or not, but people who play wind instruments (saxophones, flutes, clarinets, trumpets) don't eat dairy products a few days before a concert. that's supposedly because the dairy clogs up your throat. so maybe you could stay away from milk and cheese and yogurt. it's best that you drink tea anyway :) i hope you get better! Volleyball2150 answered Thursday May 31 2007, 3:31 pm: ohh... i can definitally help you with that. You're talking to the girl who's been sick a lot and can get better in 2 days.
first off...
DONT drink anything cold. Tea Tea Tea! my grandma has a special tea mix that always helps me. Its Peppermint Tea with Honey and Sugar. It's really good and helps fast.
Next... don't talk because that just irritates your throat and makes it worse.
Finally, rest! even though sore throats don't have anything to do with rest... it sill helps your immune system and gets you healthier and less sick.
that's all you can do.
oh yeah and also take medicine. I normally take cough syrup and spray.
