easilyfixed answered Thursday May 31 2007, 1:12 pm: THere's a lot of diets out there that "work". it depends on how much effort you put into it and how much weight you want to loose. to name a few there's:
- Special K Diet (once again, this diet depends on how much weight you want to loose)
- *Atkins Diet
- *South Beach Diet
- *The Diet : For Teenagers Only (works best if you're a teenager, i tried it for awhile.)
- Healthy Eating in General.
- The Vegetarian Diet.
- The Rice Diet (this is the type of diet for people who want to loose more than 50lbs.
- ~Jenny Craig
- ~WeightWatchers
Key:
* = you need to buy the book that tells you the foods you can eat, etc.
~ = you have to be 18 or older. WeightWatchers you have to get a doctor recomendation to attend the meetings, not sure about Jenny Craig. [ easilyfixed's advice column | Ask easilyfixed A Question ]
lbwhite89 answered Thursday May 31 2007, 12:52 pm: This question is impossible to answer with a definite statement. Different diets work for different people. If someone wanted to lose 100 pounds, they probably wouldn't be on the same diet as someone who wants to lose 10 pounds. Similarly, someone with a slow metabolism wouldn't be on the same diet and someone with a fast metabolism. Weight, metabolism, and body type all has to be taken into account when you are trying to lose weight.
You should do some research online of different diets. There are basic ones like low calorie. Well balanced, basic, healthy diets work best for people who only want to drop a few pounds. If you have more weight to lose, a more organized diet would work best. For example, Atkins or the South Beach Diet.
No matter which diet you choose, it's much harder to lose weight if you aren't working out. Exercise HAS to be in your diet plan or else it will take forever to lose the weight.
If you were a little more specific about your weight loss needs or your stats, I could help you out more. But with a question like this, a real answer is hard to give. [ lbwhite89's advice column | Ask lbwhite89 A Question ]
