Long Story!

Question Posted Wednesday May 30 2007, 2:24 am

Ok Ive put this under mental health, cos thats what Im supposing it is..

Well where do I start... Since I can remember, Ive noticed Ive been doing some really strange things, mostly which are coming out now..if Im walking along the street, I tend to roleplay something over and over in my head, and sometimes Ill end up speaking it out loud.

If see a car, ill imagine a whole crash, and sometimes if I pass a car park, Ill pick whichever car I would have if I could have any.

Theres lots of strange things like that, sometimes Ill breath ot the beat of a tune, or Ill just imagine some really strange stuff. Its hard to explain.

I told a friend for the first time last night, he suggested it being that Im intelligent and my mind is under worked, so now its over active?

But Im more worried about it being serious. I suffer from panic attacks aswell, just incase that helps.

If you could just give me an idea of what you think, dont diagnose me with everything under the sun, with panic attacks, Ill diagnose myself with whatever you tell me Ive got, I dont want that :)

Thanks!

i know exactly what you mean. i do this stuff too. i always ask people what it could be, but the only conclusion me and other people come to, is maybe a small case of OCD. I'm not positive but it could be. Sorry i didnt help much, maybe just another clue to your puzzle.

and the number one answer is: BOREDOM
don't freak out I do the same thing I will imagine all sorts of stuff one thing will trigger a whole scene like a movie in my mind The brain never sleeps you know we as people have great imaginations and some people have none :-) if it gets really bad you can get something from the doctor to help you relax a little perhaps take up a obby I sew in my spare time. I bet you only do this when you are daydreaming it doesnt happen wile watching a really good movie that has your interests. Consider yourself lucky that you have a vivid imagination perhaps those are short stories tht you should write that you are imagining after all for all the movies we have somene imagined a car crash, someone imagined snakes being on the plane while they were flying, someone imagined torchering people like saw

take my word for it relax have fun You Are Normal lots of people do it they just don't have the guts to admit it
please stop in again I love giving advice

What you have is a bad case of being a normal teenager. People evreywhere do those very things. When I go to a store, I usually pick out in my mind what things in the store I would like in my house someday. Puffing a beat or humming a tune, same difference, you have a song stuck in your head. I once had a song stuck in my head for 6 days and I always found myself tapping, humming, and even doing the dishes to the beat of that song. I also suffer from panick attacks, I don't think that the attacks have anything to do with your overcreative mind. I always imagine the, what ifs, or the, What would happen if this was there. All this is, is your brain entertaining you, it can also be a learning mechanism. Don't sweat it, whats happening is perfectly normal, happens to evreyone. Or we could both have the same brain disease called creaivity. Anyway, hope this helps.:)

I'm not a doctor. But I would just like to share with you what I think.

I personally do that all the time. I don't do exactly what you do, but its similar.

I have to walk in a straight line sometimes, I sometimes draw circles with my spoon and each circle has to be bigger than the previous. When I scratch one side of my hair, I have to scratch the other.

I'm not trying to diagnose you or whatsover. But I think we have OCD (Obsessive compulsive disorder). It's not serious at all if it doesn't affect your life adversely. I think everyone to a certain extent do suffer from OCD. But yours doesn't seem serious.

We experience OCD probably because we're insecure and also because we crave for perfection. I can't draw any link between your panic attacks and the things you do. But what I know, is that you sound normal. And you might find yourself wierd, but actually, everyone does bits and pieces of such things and they are just less upfront bout it than you are.

As long as these things are not causing you any damage, and are just little things that you do just cos you feel like doing, it's fine. I wouldn't worry too much bout it.

It sounds to me like you just have an overactive imagination. I do that stuff sometimes too. A big imagination is nothing to worry about. The smartest people have big imaginations. You'll never be bored, that's for sure.

I think the panic attacks are something different. Perhaps you're just easily stressed and get over-worried about things. I don't think it's anything serious, but to be safe, talk to your doctor.
