well, i've been having my period since i was 11 (i'm now 14) and i've skipped a month or two every now and then. But i haven't had a period in 4 or 5 months now. Any idea why that might be? I'm not sexually active at all, so that can't have anything to do with it.

gsngirl7 answered Monday May 28 2007, 3:45 pm: Your body might still be adjusting to having your period. If it were me, I would wait another 2 or 3 weeks, and then if it still hasnt come, I'd go to the doctors. Its probably nothing but your doctor can give you birth control or another kind of medicine to help regulate it. Hope my advice helps! ♥ Jenny [ gsngirl7's advice column | Ask gsngirl7 A Question ]
Andreaaaa answered Monday May 28 2007, 2:52 pm: The first two years after having your first period are kind of rocky. I'm sure everything is alright. Wait untill your next doctor appt. then tell your doctor whats up. Untill then I really wouldn't worry about it. [ Andreaaaa's advice column | Ask Andreaaaa A Question ]
DepthofHeart answered Monday May 28 2007, 2:33 pm: It can take up to 3 years from the time a girl starts menstruating for her body to develop a regular cycle. Even then, what's regular varies from person to person. Girls' cycles can range from 21 to 45 days.
Changing hormone levels might make your period short one month (such as 2 or 3 days) and more drawn out (such as 7 days) the next. You might skip a few months, get two periods almost right after each other, have a really heavy period, or one so light you almost don't notice it.
