If you use the one that has the holes to let the steam escape, straightening it while it is damp won't hurt it. If you straighten it while it is dry with a regualr straightener, use some sort of thermal product. It will protect your hair. Thermal spray by biolage is the best one i have found so far. Just spritz it (or any other) on the strand and starighten it. You will see some steam and mistake it for smoke. It isn't smoke. Its the product steaming off your hair ... which is 100 times better than the steam coming off with out hte product. thats my two cents worth. any other hair questions hit me up
SoccerCutiex3 answered Friday May 25 2007, 3:00 pm: If you don't have a wet to straight straightener, yes. If you do it like once every yearrr it wont do anything but its not a good idea. It can burn your hair bad and it might make it look dried out too. Your best bet is to do it when its dry..otherwise get a striaghtener meant for it. And even when you have that straightener (i have it and it works good) but try not to do that all the time because even just straightening it all the time isnt that healthy. HOpe i helped!
