Once HIV has destroyed a lot of your blood cells, you are diagnosed with aids(aquired immune defiency syndrome) It means that you no longer have enough white blood cells that your body needs to fight off diseases. Once HIV leads up to AIDS, it takes way longer for the person with aids to fight off diseases.
