Well its not strange. You might not get your period at night anyway, for some people at night it stops. You probably have no clue how to use a tampon, but i suggest that you do use one even though people say you should for at least a year of having it. I'd say after like your second time having it then your fine to use it. Especially during school, going to the bathroom a lot can get annoying. hope i helped. <3 ]
Hi, thanks for writing. Since it is your first ever period, it is normal, I think. My first one was also different than the others I had. As long as it doesn't continue like that the next time you have it, you should be fine. If it does, tell you mother or another guardian about it.
Remember that periods are sometimes irregular during the first two years that you get it.
Good luck,

your period will be irregular for about 1-2 years. so it will come when you least expect it sometimes. yes it's completely normal to get it for one day the first time because your period is very irregular. eventually, it will be regular and you will get it every 28-35 days for 3-12 days at one time..
good luck keep some pads with you.
it will probably come back soon...
