ok so im 15, female, and i've always heard of people talking about masturbation, and i'd never tried it. So one day, about a month ago, I tried it, and it felt SOOO good...but as I kept doing it, the feeling decreased and it actually started feeling wrong. I feel guilty because I consider myself a fairly good Cristian, and also because sometimes I'll do it even 3 times a day, but I don't wanna get addicted. Sometimes I feel so ashamed of myself because I'm basically having sex by myself, and I wonder if any of my friends do it (and dats when i really feel pathetic)... I just dont know what to do...Thanx for reading...<3
There's absolutely no reason to feel guilty. Doctors will even tell you it's normal behavior and yes even if you do it 3 times a day. As long as you go out, socialize with people and don't spend all day in your room masturbating you're fine and don't have any problem such as an addiction.
You're also supposed to enjoy it so there's no shame at all. People of all kinds of religions be it Christian, Catholic, Jewish etc etc. masturbate and it doesn't make them any less a Christian etc. for doing so. If it feels right for you continue and know it doesn't make you any less than what you are or change your belief system.
Masturbation is common especially among teenagers of both sexes at this stage for relieving sexual tension and other reasons. It's also common in younger children, toddlers, even babies have been observed as doing it and even seniors do it too. It's natural, healthy, normal so relax.
Just think to yourself that your classmates are doing it too and that each of them thinks the same thing about it that you just said and wonders if they are the only one. They're not, and nor are you.
Basically it boils down to this: if you enjoy it do it as it's safe, normal, healthy and won't affect your religious beliefs or change that or make you less a Christian and if you don't feel good about it abandon it. Believe me you aren't pathetic at all for indulging in this. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]

About the feeling starting to go away- it's because you do it so frequently. If you orgasm every time, you will notice that the pleasure decreases if you do it more than once every 12 hours. When that happens, just don't do it for about 24 hours and the pleasure will come back.
About guilt- well, you should not feel guilty just because you are a christian. I am a very strong christian myself. There is nothing in the Bible that specifically says not to masturbate, nor is it implied. Although some people believe that self-pleasuring is "Committing a form of adultery in your heart" by "lusting" I completely disagree with them. I personally talked to God to seek out the answer- and I believe that He still accepts me as one of His followers even though I masturbate. Talk to Him yourself and He will provide more answers for you also.
Masturbation is a completely normal thing to do (as long as you're not publicizing it) and the pleasure you recieve from your own touch is completely natural and EVERYONE deserves to have this pleasure. It is also one of the body's natural ways to relieve stress.
Don't worry about getting addicted- I'm very addicted. It's like my drug.
Sometimes I feel ashamed too, because all the people I know are extremist christians and would totally be against it. But I just have to reassure myself that it's okay to masturbate. I'd be having hookups all the time now if I could- so you just have to consider the alternative to masturbation.
You must have a sexual outlet of some kind, so what's it going to be? Unsafe premarital sex with a partner? Or harmless self-pleasuring?
See, now masturbation seems less harmful doesn't it.
I hope I helped!
btw if u have a myspace i'd like to add u on there...

You shouldn't feel guilty about making yourself feel good. I have never seen anything in the Bible about masturbation being a sin. (I also go to Church and read the Bible, and I have never personally seen or heard anything about it being a sin.)
