blood

Question Posted Thursday May 17 2007, 7:35 pm

My boyfriend and I recently decided to have sex. I was not a virgin my first time with him, but it was painful and I bled quite a bit during. The blood eventually stopped after 3 days or so. Today we decided to try again. And while not quite the ammount of last time I did bleed and there was a slight bit of pain. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on?

If you haven't had sex in a while, your vag got used to nothing being in it. It obviously didn't expect a penis going inside of it, so you bled & it hurt. If you eventually keep having sex, the pain will go away & it'll eventuallly stop bleeding. Just remember to use protection.

Just a suggestion, but maybe do some foreplay before you have sex. It could easy up the pain.

You broke your hymen or "popped your cherry."
It's 100% normal and eventually the bleeding will stop completley. It happens to all virgin on their first time unless they've already broken it do to fingering or some vigorous activity. Stay safe!
