you should cut in a diagonal line, towards the hair, on the bang. And make sure its in line with your nose that way it looks best, and balanced. no matter what color hair you have. work the new hair gurl, peace

I cut my own bangs all the time, and just did it recently so that I could pin them back & so they wouldn't look lopsided when they were pinned back [in the humpy thing].

Anyways, make sure your hair is wet. You never wanna cut your hair when it's dry because you might be missing some pieces & have to go back. That can cause you to make them unevened & it'll be harder to do things with them. Not only that, but they'll look horrible.

Make sure to cut them at an angle. That way you get the side look you're aiming for & it'll turn out right. When you cut them, use your pointer & your middle finger to line it up where you're going to cut them & then snip them off. You control how short or how long you want them. Just take your time because if you rush they might come out crappy. Good luck.

hey

first off, make sure your scissors are super sharp. if they're dull or blunt, your bangs will look messed up.

second, do it at an angle. i've cut my own bangs before, and it turned out fine. use your middle and pointer fingers to hold your hair as you cut. place your fingers exactly where you want to cut (at an angle) and just cut from your forehead towards your ear (unless you're a lefty).

if they look a little crooked / messed up, it's NO big deal! just put your hair up in a quiff for a few days and let it grow out a bit. then, just trim them again and they will look fine.

honestly, i got my first side bangs in january, and the first time i trimmed them, everyone was like, "wow your bangs look GREAT!" so i strongly encocurage you to cut your bangs the way you want them to look.

i hope i helped a bit :]
