i know this is such a typical question here - but i am looking to lose weight, maybe 5-10 pounds. i am 15/f and about 5' 3.5" and 130 lbs. i like most of my body and i know im healthy but i know if i lost the bit of fat i have i would be totally happy with myself. if i knew exactly what to do in terms of eating and exercise i think i could follow along, but i am not usually very good with coming up with my own ideas. is cutting calories the best way to do it? how many calories should i take out of my diet, and how many calories should i aim to burn daily? and if anyone knows like an idea of how many calories are burned for certain exersises... like maybe a 15 minute jog, how many calories would that burn? and if i did that daily and cut a certain amount of calories from food would i be on the right track? thank you

And from your physical discription, you sound pretty great, although I understand about wanting to tone up. Well, like I said, don't cut calories. Just make your goal to eat healthy, and the body will come. Try lots and lots of whole grains, fruits, lean meats, and veggies. Don't reduce, just tweak your eating habits.
As for exercise, I suggest pilaties, yoga, weightlifting, and running. Yoga is great for muscle definition, and pilaties trims fat around your abs and hips, as well as builds strong legs. You just have to alternate what exercises you are doing.
