so this is a kinda weird question ... but i'm dieting and watermelon seems to fill me up really quickly. i don't think it can have too much sugar since it's a fruit, but why does it make me so full? i know it's mainly water, but how much water can it have... because drinking water doesn't flil me up that much
And watermelons actually do contain a pretty nifty amount of water. Add to that the watermelon part and you're going to be full pretty quickly but that fullness will disappear pretty soon. [ ductape_n_roses's advice column | Ask ductape_n_roses A Question ]
NinjaNeer answered Sunday May 13 2007, 7:19 pm: You're actually wrong. Fruit contains a lot of sugar... one apple contains about 10.5 grams of sugar! It's naturally occurring, but it's still sugar.A 100 gram serving of watermelon contains 6 grams.
The fact that you don't get full when you drink water may be attributed to the fact that you're not chewing or tasting anything; in other words, it's probably all in your head. [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]
