You can try to prevent yourself from getting sick, but other than that, you kind of have to deal with it. I have a mild case of it, I always hyperventilate and get scared when I know I'm going to be sick. But you can just deal with it, or if you think it will help, you can see a psychologist.

It's a horrible thing to suffer from, I have it as well.

There are various therapies you could try, from hypnosis to NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) to confrontational. It would have to be a 'try it and see what works for you', as everyone has a different response to therapies.

In the meantime, make sure you always wash your hands before eating, check use by dates, don't eat anywhere or anything you feel suspicious of. Ensure all food is cooked and stored correctly. Keep your distance from anyone who has any type of stomach bug and make sure you are as healthy as possible by eating properly and getting enough sleep.

I'm afraid there are no magic answers, it's something that has to be dealt with on a day by day basis. Very few people can actually understand how bad it is, just because it's something that no one likes to do.

In time, you will probably learn your own coping mechanisms, but I hope this will help for now. Good luck.

Stay away from things that will make you sick, (i.e. uncooked meats, rotten eggs/fruits, other people who are sick...)
Or if it really bothers you, visit a shrink.
