at my school anyone that can't do a roundoff usually won't even make it on freshman team. One of my friends could dance super great (which, for some reason, is a big part of trying out) and do cartwheels, but she couldn't do a roundoff and she didn't make it. 20 people tryed out and 16 made it.

it depends on your school. but at my school (i'm a varsity cheerleader) we don't tumble so that's not really a priority. but you have to have a strong voice, and you do have to be fit. at my school we do an hour of cardio and weight training and different exercises which does include push ups, and we run two and a half miles everyday. and to be a base or a backspot you have to be strong and able to lift people in the air. i'm not saying you can't do it, or that you shouldn't try. but you have to be motiviated and realize that you must be in shape to do any sport of any kind. good luck hun!

it`s ohkay if you can`t do roundoffs and tumbles, at the start but i`m sure you will learn. cuz i did. and even if you can`t be lifted, you`d be a backspot. if you think it is going to waste your time then i wouldn`t do it. and please don`t be embarrssed to try new things, be yourself. who cares what others think. most of the time, they could be jealous that they didn`t make the team.

If its a highschool team, like varsity or junior varsity you won't make it. You might make a freshman team (if they have one) depending on how good they are. Tumbling, jumps, stregnth all are really important and without them you have a little chance. Sorry

well it depends on your school, at my school they have a jv and varsity team. you tryout and if you don't make the varsity team, you get put on the jv team.

now this may be different at your school, and you said you were trying out for the 9th grade team. i'm not guaranteeing anything, but i think it's worth a shot trying out, cause you never know until you try :) if you're unsure you should ask your friends or any cheerleaders what they think, they'd probably know best.

good luck!
