Energy Drinks & Alcohol

Question Posted Monday May 7 2007, 11:26 pm

15/f (Not Legal Age, Theoretical Question)

What happens when you drink alcohol and energy drinks together? The labels of energy drinks (such as Red Bull) always say 'Do Not Mix With Alcohol.' Why is this?

Thanks ! =)

It pretty much puts your heart into overdrive and your heart starts beating like crazy. It also causes you to become pretty hyper and possibly more drunk and happy. There's also the likely hood it'll leave you with a stronger hangover the next morning because mixing those two drinks will dehydrate you even more than they normally would.

I would recommend that you don't mix them, it's pretty dangerous. If you do mix them beacuse you want to try it once or twice, drink A LOT of water with it. I'd recommend drinking around 5 bottles of water. One other thing, don't do drugs with alcohol and energy drinks. If you take something such as speed with alcohol mixed with an energy drink, expect to die.

Alcohol plus Energy Drink is a DANGEROUS Combination

Some energy drinks (i.e., Red Bull) are frequently mixed with alcohol.

Theory: People claim that the beverage tastes great and that they get tired less quickly and can party later into the night.

The Truth: Caffeine and alcohol are a dangerous combination, as both are diuretics and cause dehydration). As a result, the drink causes:

 A greater likelihood of hangovers

 Death due to severe dehydration

orphans answered Tuesday May 8 2007, 10:03 am:
i think its because when you mix two stimulants together like caffiene and alcohol, the effects of the two multiply, and that causes you to go into coma, or other stuff like that. i could be wrong, but im pretty sure tis something like that
