Hmm, I don't believe you even have to go to college to become a cop, you just need a clean record.

Forensics, criminal psychology, economics, could all help you become a cop.

Police training also requires that you be in some type of shape.

If you want to be a cop, don't take forensics. If you want to be a forensic scientist take forensics. I personally am a Criminal Justice major in college but you don't have to major in something like this if you want to be an officer.

It's not "hard" to become a police officer but if you just want to do it because you think what you see on CSI is true and that you get into shootouts constantly and can boss people around constantly then that's not at all what you do as a cop.

Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork, paperwork, paperwork and o yea.....paperwork. It's one of the most stressful jobs in the world, you're always dealing with everyone else's problems, people absolutely hate you, you work on holidays and nights and weekends and it's dangerous. If you can deal with the reality of what it is to be a police officer then it's for you, but if you don't have thick and I mean THICK skin and can't take a lot of stress- it isn't for you.
