tanning with contacts i heard it's not good to tan with contacts because they could melt, is this true?

They won't melt, but your eyes'll get really dry after awhile. Also, if you're tanning outside, you might end up swimming, right? And you can lose contacts if you swim with them in, and getting water in your eyes will probably irritate them.

No. It's an urban myth.
Most places will recommend removing contact lenses before you tan, but that is only because tanning beds can make your eyes very dry, so contacts become uncomfortable. Good places will also provide you with protective glasses that make it basically impossible for UV light to get to your eyes, or your contacts. But no, they wont melt. ]
i don't think that they truely melt, BUT, it could really harm your eyes. Your contacts might lose some perscriptin also. (maybe) but i wouldn't do it. I would def. take them out. ]
