im 5'9" 14/f and i weigh like 140. i have NEVER weighed this much. no matter what i do, i cant seem to lose weight. ive even ate less than 1200 calories in a day and excercise, but no luck. i hate it!! what shoud i do? i cant stand weighing this much!
if your body fat is above 20%, I'd recommend continuing exercising but I would not recommmend eating 1.2k calories per day. I'd say you need to get at least 1800 in. I'd say running two miles everyday should help you lose all the weight you could lose in a healthy manner within a month. If you still don't lose any weight, it's because you shouldn't lose weight.

a 5'4 person who weighed 140 would be average.... but 5'9''? I think that is slightly underweight for your height.
but whether it's underwieght ot not, it's a good weight.
you're not fat, don't even start thinking youare 'cause I know someone who is 5'4'' and 160lbs. she's mostly muscle, though, so she soesn't look fat.
ok....
now with those statistics out there, do you still think you weigh too much?
Nerina answered Wednesday May 2 2007, 3:30 am: If you search for BMI calculator and weight chart in google. You're tall and it's natural for you to weigh more than you're shorter friends. You can never judge if you are fat by your weight.Muscle is five times denser than fat. Many people say pounds don't count.Do you look overweight to yourself?Pounds a very small. That is why people way several more pounds than people who are just slightly shorter/thinner than them.People want to way very little rather than be fit.
When you eat less, your metabolism slows down. That is whow the human body is made to cope with famine.
You could read the book "Japenese women don't get old or fat" by Naomi Moriyama.
Try eating small frequent meals to increase your metabolism.Eat salads and fruits.Eat about five or six small meals a day.Eat according to instinct.Eat what you think you should.
Try to work a little exercise into your daily routine.Run up the stairs or go for a walk.
This trick can increase your metabolism by a lot!Wear strap on weights for a day and go about with your daily routine.Do this regularly but not to often. [ Nerina's advice column | Ask Nerina A Question ]
Faerie answered Wednesday May 2 2007, 12:31 am: The worst part about weight is that gaining it is easy ... losing it takes ages. You'll lose weight eventually IF and only if you keep on exercising regularly or eating healthy for a while. You'll see results soon but nothing will change overnight...You'll have to keep working on it, stay determined and say no to candy, fast food, etc.
There are ways to help you with this. I.e. don't take the elevator, take the stairs. Don't stay seated for too long. NEVER eat while you're watching T.V. (you tend to overeat without realizing...). Dance for an hour or so every day. Jump.
Good news though. Your weight is perfectly normal! You're tall and you only weight 140 pounds when the average weight for 5'9" people ranges between 143 to 178.5! You should be happy=). So according to science, you need to GAIN weight XD. Your weight's perfectly normal and all, but if you want to lose weight, do it ONLY to stay fit, not to get thinner.
So it's your choice. I don't think you need to worry about your weight for now. Be happy - you've got the perfect weight!
