re-doing my room
im re-doing my room soon. like im painting my walls and getting all new furniture and everything. my room is like all white now and it has wooden floors so i kinda want to get a rug. if anyone has any cute ideas...
i also want to get stuff from pbteen.com
so if theres any cute furniture from there that you think would look good together and match with a rug and other stuff

Well im re-doing my room now too. my walls used to be white. now they are green. if your new furniture is wood then i would suggest going with a purple/green vibe. its actually really pretty! and if your age range is in the 10-15 years of age, you could put one of those dangling princess crown things over your bed that hang down and goes over your bed. they are so cute!

With a white wall and a wooden floor, you have tons to work with! It's just like when you're wearing a plain outfit, the accessories make it. If you find a colorful comforter, rug, lamps, thing to put on your wall, etc. it would look really good. But if you're looking for colors to paint your room, I just painting mine over the summer. I have two of my walls hot pink, the ones that are across from eachother, and the other two a greenish blueish, but it looks really cool together. It would look neat if you wanted to chose two of your favorite colors that would look good together. I saw somebody with hot pink and lime green, somebody with hot pink, black, and an aqua-ey color, and somebody else's room with lime green and a royal purple, and they all looked REALLY cute. The purple and the limegreen/pink one looked good with a wooden floor.

You didn't mention the amount of money planned on this project....but...
Paint your walls and trim first -- the color you want the basics of the room to be-- that is the essense of the room. Walls one color and trim a complimentary but different color.
Furniture can be a third color or white or wood. It's the spread and throw pillows that'll set it off.
As for a rug, liking beachy things, search the net for rugs (beach themed) like a beach umbrella, or bamboo matting, or one that looks like a sand box or sand, maybe water- the ocean with tropical fish which might be the colors that correspond to your colors...
A smaller version of a beach umbrella and lounge chair would be cute in a corner for seating, and pails and shovels from the kid's department or dime store. Bucket-pails can be turned upside down as tables (if big enough) or used to put sand in and plant plants in.
Look for tropical fish to hang on the wall or place here and there, or make a hanging thing out of them with invisable fishing line.
Colors are a breeze, it's the theme you need to look for.
