What's the difference... What's the difference between sleeping with someone, and having sex with someone?
Because i was watching The Holiday last night with Cameron Diaz and Jude Law, and they said something like, "We've already had sex once, and slept together twice ..."
I always thought they were the same thing, but i guess not? Help?

It all depends on the context of what is being said. "Having sex" can mean "sleeping with someone", but "sleeping with someone" doesn't always refer to two people having sex. You can physically lie & sleep next to/with someone without having sex - that could be considered sleeping with someone. On the other hand, instead of someone saying "having sex" they will refer to it as "sleeping with someone." ]
Well, there are two different meanings of "sleeping with someone". One is used as a euphemism for having sex... the other is literal; sleeping in the same bed.
In this case, they used the literal meaning. ]
Saying you "slept together" is just a nice way of saying you had sex. But literally sleeping together and having sex are two different things. Literally meaning that you slept together just means that you slept in the same bed but didn't have sex. ]
hmm, i haven't seen the movie, but maybe they mean literally slept together? like shared a bed...did other notty things other than intercourse, lol. it's hard to say, because i agree that i always think that slept together means had sex, so i think that's kind of weird that they would say that. ]
