Sleuth Game Thing I started playing it about 2 days ago. I'm in love with it! Thing is, there's this one bit about it that's really confusing.
If you know the game, you'll be able to answer my question. If not, I guess you could as well...dunno.
When you're questioning the people in the bank, church, etc. sometimes one of em goes like (for example) "John Smith hasn't seen or heard anything suspicious".
Now what does that mean? Does it mean forget about him being the criminal? He's the one who did it?...He doesn't know who did it?...What?

It simply means that character "John Smith" does not know anything at all. He is a waste to concentrate on-- move on to someone and something else.
John Smith knows nothing. ]
That means they know nothing about what you are asking them.
Something suspicious is out of the ordinary, or strange. ]
