When dating, you're either getting to know the person, or you're going on dates with different people. When you're boyfriend & girlfriend, you're dating the same person for a while.

dating is to get to know the person but boyfriend and girlfriend means its aficall.

Dating makes more sense when we get older. Dating is when a guy takes a girl out on a date, and he sees other people as well. Having an actual boyfriend or girlfriend is simply stating that he/she is seeing ONLY you. And not dating others.

i always thought that dating means that your seeing that one person but its okay if you go on dates with other girls. thats what scares me. cuz this guy i really like i dont want him seeing other girls. i dont care if hes friends with them. i just dont want him kissing me then kissing them.

i dont think theres very much difference.
except if you're younger, than you cant really date, so you just say youre 'boyfriend and girlfriend'.
but when you're dating, you are boyfriend and girlfriend.
dating is just more mature, for more mature people.
