nintendo wii internet connection

i just got the nintendo wii. when i try to go on the internet settings on it, it sfinds my modem, but says its secure and i need a password to access it. how do i make it so i dont need a password, because i dont even know it!

well someone has to know the password to your modem... What you need to do, is change the settings. How to do that, is different for all modems, put typically involves putting some numbers into an address bar to access the settings page. You need to look up the configuration settings for your particular modem. Would probably be easier to just ask whoever it is that knows.

You should try calling Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700 and tell the person who answers your call the problem you are having. They should know a way around it as they offer technical assistance on all of their products for free over the phone.
