But if you have to ask this question, then you really shouldn't even bother. You'll end up looking like a poseur. You're supposed to dress for YOURSELF, not for other people. If all you're concerned about is looking "cool" & "scene", then you've really missed the entire point of indie music (which is, btw, where the whole "scene" look evolved from. And by "indie", I do not mean Good Charlotte, etc.). [ fatallygorgeous's advice column | Ask fatallygorgeous A Question ]
LoveNJstyle answered Monday April 23 2007, 9:05 pm: my friends who are scene shop at hottopic (one works there) and forever 21. it's not like prep where as long as you get everything at a&f you're fine, you have to really look and find things to create the style. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]

If you're trying - it's not even worth it.
Go anywhere.
Find anything.
If it's black.
Or bright.
Or it looks like a little kid would wear it.
You're golden.
And there's no such thing as a "cute" store. You've got "obnoxious" or "sufficient" or "this place effing blows."
