Hey guys! Well, I'm a HUGE HUGE HUGE Queen/Beatles/Led Zeppelin and Elton John fan. Does anyone know any other good bands like them? Like general oldies stuff. I've heard of many...But I just don't know the right ones to choose. :) Thanks in advance.

Also Quadrophenia is like essential to teenagers feeling out of place and at a loss, even if they aren't mod like the main character of that rock opera. Keith moon is one of the best drummers ever. Pete Townshend(guitar) is a genious. John Entwistle(bass) revolutionized bass playing. and Roger Daltrey is an amazing front man. the point of that whole thing? The who rock.
The Rolling Stones - almost the most classic rock band, and awesome.
Jimi Hendrix, well Hendrix is the best guitar player in rock history. He could play with his teeth!
The Police, an awesome fusion of rock and reggae. Awesome drumming too.
The Ramones, the original punk rockers. Not classic rock, but they are milestones in rock, and they rule. Short fun songs, but the more you listen to the ramones you discover the complexity of them.
The Jam, a Mod revivalist/punk/new wave band from the 70's. The Jam never reached famousness in the USA because they were to firmly British, (the whole mod thing) but they are still awesome, and Paul Weller(lead singer and guitar) is a legend in England and for good reason.
David Bowie changed genres to much to classify him into one genre of music but he is awesome.
Bob Dylan, counter culture hero! Hippie folk rock, 'Like a Rolling Stone' is the number one song of all time according to Rollin Stone Magazine. He is amazing and essential.

If you like Elton John you'll enjoy James Taylor for sure but also Bruce Hornsby. Hornsby worked on a lot of the Grateful Dead albums as a pianist and is a soloist now. He wrote "The Way it Is" which Tupac covered at one point.
You should also check out Genesis as they are a brillaint British rock band that was led by both Phil Collins and Peter Gabrial. It goes without saying their string of billboard hits are endless. Skyrd and the Eagles are great as well.
You should also try The Who, Grateful Dead, The Ramones, The Police. While you may associate The Temptations with oldies like My Girl and not your thing they can sing just about anything going. Their new album "Reflections" has a lot of stuff on it you'd like such as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and other songs. Not in the same vien as who you mentioned but a hell of a great album of 1970s cover tunes.
Definitely buy a Bruce Hornsby album if you are big into Elton. Billy Joel just put out a 2 disc live album called "12 At The Gardens" which has 95% of his material on it recorded over 12 nights (sold out) at Madison Square Gardens.
