well, me and my boyfriend's one year will be coming up very shortly. i really need suggestions on what to get him. I've alreay made him a scrap book-so a no on that. he likes rock music, his main thing is music. no, we're not going to have sex. i'm waiting until i'm married. [he know's this] so, any suggestions on what to get him or what we could do? please answer this. i really want to make it special for the both of us.
Another thing you could do, is just make him something creative and artistic. My sister actually painted an old record and decorated it with hearts and song lyrics, since her boyfriend liked music alot.
Then there's always the idea of making him a CD. If you have an "our" song or two, put those on it. There are a ton of good rock songs that are about love that you could put on it.
In addition, you could make him a small book of reasons why you love him. My sister got a colorful envelop and put 100 slips of paper in it, each with a reason why she loved her boyfriend.
That's about all I can think of. Sorry if I'm not much help, I actually don't have a boyfriend and I have never given a guy an anniversary present, but I'm awaiting the day that I will be able to. :] [ twistedsister17's advice column | Ask twistedsister17 A Question ]

If you've never made him a scrapbook before, do it. Get some pictures of you guys together & put them in there. And little quotes that explain your thoughts on him, and songs. Make him a rock CD of his favorite songs, or buy him a CD of his favorite band if he doesn't have it already. If there's a concert coming up that he'd really like to see, get him tickets to it so the two of you can go together. And make him a nice dinner. =)
ammo answered Sunday April 22 2007, 12:06 pm: Firstly, my kudos on you wanting to wait until your married to have sex. Takes a lot of willpower to be able to stick to that especially with how everyone seems to think having sex the younger you are is 'kool', which is a load of rubbish.
As for a present, if he likes rock music you could try find out who his fave band is and get him a t-shirt of his rock band or something similar? Maybe even find out is one of the bands he likes will be playing at some point soon and get tickets for you both to go to the concert (providing he wouldn't have done that already). Also you'll need ot make sure whichever t-shirt you get him he doesn't have it already, hehe. Ebay might be a good place to look up new clothing for his band/s he likes or you could try a search in google for 'alternative online stores' and see which have a top he might like from there. Doesn't even have to be a top. Most of these stores have a lot of rock/alternative stuff so there might be something else there you feel he might like that you can get him. I think together with the scrap book, he'll love it. :] [ ammo's advice column | Ask ammo A Question ]
angie91 answered Sunday April 22 2007, 12:01 pm: Hey!
I love these questions so much. I love that you were like no, we're not going to have sex. Thats awesome.
K so first of all, It's awesome that you wanna make this a great night, but all I can do is give you a bunch of suggestions, you can like build on them or mix and match and stuff.
The first thing everyone says when they ask this type of questions is: "No scrapbooks." like you, you've done it already, or it's just not some peoples type of thing, but you can always do something special for him like a scrap book thats not a boring old scrap book. I always tell my friend when she asks me what she should get her bf to make something. But she always refuses, I don't know why, it's a good idea. Anyway, think about his bedroom, what is he missing, does he have a bare wall, you could make a collage of all of his fave rock bands, you could make something like a guitar pick holder or something. I'm just saying that because most rock fans have guitars, but if not, you don't have to do that obviously. Um, is his door boreing, you can make a door hanging with like pictures of the two of you, or bands or something similar to a scrap book but awesome-er.
Are his sheets like batman or something old, that he's had since he was five, because thats a pretty classic problem for guys, you could always get him a set liek that with something awesome on it. Or you can get some awesome pillow cases that have liek have his fave band on them.
a bathing suits an awesome idea, if you wanna buy him something, summers just around the corner, and most guys need bathing suits or those designer towels.
Shirts are boring but they work too. That and sweaters, but its summer time unless its not summer time where you are, then maybe a sweater would be a good idea.
I remember my friend made her bf this coupon book once. It was pretty funny, it was like simple things like doing his laundry and baking him cookies and at the back there were like three free kiss coupons, but she was the same as you she didnt want to have to like have sex on the date and stuff.
I think that should give you an idea, now on the date.
There are millions of things you can do, but talk to him first and make sure he doesnt have anything planned that will conflict with your ideas.
Make him breakfast in bed, go to a baseball game, have a picnic, go for a romantic dinner, make a romantic dinner for two at home, go for a walk at sunset, go to the zoo (:P) go for a walk in the park, feed the ducks, (if you have ducks, or you could always just feed the random birds) rent a movie and stay in. Go to a drive in movie, those are fun if you can find one, those are just a few ideas, there are millions out there that will work for you and him, you just have to think of them, doesnt that suck :P. Talk about it with your friends and his friends and of course him, you'll thgink of soemthing dont worry. Have an awesome time, hope I helpped, love ya,
