Question Posted Saturday April 21 2007, 12:37 pm

hey.

when you write a name of a roller coaster in a formal
paper, how would you correctly punctuate it?

example: for a book, one italicizes or underlines the title. for a song, one puts it in quotes.

thank youu.

like others said, just capitalize the first letter of each word. it makes a lot of sense to me to think of it as a place... like if you said that you went to a certain place (proper noun), it would look like... "The other day I went to Chili's, and I went to Applebee's today." anyway, i hope that makes a little more sense.

You would need to capitalize the first letter of each word. And books are supposed to be underlined since they're not a short story or a song. Songs/short stories are to be in quotes.

Capitalize the first letter in each word of the name. Just like you would in The US Capital. You don't need to do anything else.
