(15/f) i've got this friend... that smiles like a model, like with the weird smile not showing the teeth, and leaving a little gap in the center, but to do it, she uses ALL of her muscles and wrinkles up her chin and cheeks and everything. she's copying the models and trying to be in style, but she's doing it weird and wrong. should i tell her? or what? because i don't want her to be embarrased but i don't want to be rude..

Another thing you could do is when someone tells a joke adn she laughs or smiles normally you should say something like "You look really pretty when you smile that way, your should smile that way more often" Good luck!:) [ sam_lost's advice column | Ask sam_lost A Question ]

I went out once and met one of my friends in town one night after he had been to the cinema to see Pirates Of The Caribbean 2. He came over to me and started talking to me like Jack Sparrow. When Jack talks like that it looks kool because it suits his charictor - but when my friend did it he looked totally stupid and like there was something wrong with him. I think he figured part of that out when he saw I was standing there staring at him with a very puzzled look. I had to tell him to stop because although it takes a lot to embaress me (I usually do a lot of stupid things when I'm out) he looked (sounded) VERY stupid and I didn't want to be there next to him. I told him to stop cause it looked stupid. True story that.
I guess it's really up to you though. When she does it maybe ask her why she's smiling like that. When she tells you (just say something like she didn't used to smile like that and you just noticed it) and when she says why she does ask her to do it again so you can see it again. Then just bring up how she's not doing it right. Hopefully you can help her get it right or at the very least get her to stop until she can do it properly. Either way at least then you'd have done your bit as her friend. :] [ ammo's advice column | Ask ammo A Question ]
