I have a few questions about Myspace:
1)What is Myspace
2)What's so bad about it ? (some people's parents won't let them have one)
3)Where do you get one ?
Any help would be apreciatted and rate & feedback for good answers

You have your own profile that you can personalize however you like, you can add friends (most generally, the people you know) along with celebrities, and you can also watch videos and listen to music, and much more!
2) The things that parents complain about, which they every right to, is that there are a lot of online predators on Myspace. And it's known for it, so if you're not careful and don't only talk to the people you personally know -- you can get yourself in a heep of trouble.

MySpace has revolutionized the way today’s youth communicate and interact online.
2) Parent's don't like it because a lot of pedophiles find this as an opportunity to stalk kids. It's been in connection with so many rape cases. However, if you don't post 'revealing' pictures, put personal information on there, or talk to people you don't know, everything will be fine.

It's like having your own profile on MSN or yahoo but you can add video clips, tons of pictures, other friends you have on myspace (or new friends you make on there) and there's always new features being added on there.
2. MySpace as such is not so bad if you know what you are doing. There were some cases involving myspace and its improper use which led to a girl being raped/murdered but this is a risk that everyone can face with myspace, msn, yahoo or anything else where you are in contact with people on the internet. As long as you're careful you should be fine. Parents look at myspace as a bad thing because of the incident I mentioned above. It has had a bad influence on the site but the truth is virtually every site of its kind can be a potential risk if the users don't know the risks and what they are doing. If you are young then keeping the profile set to private is a good idea. However, as long as you are careful about giving out personal information and being careful about what personal information you add on your profile you should be safe.

#2-There really is nothing bad about it. Its hard for people to search for you and "stalk" you. Pretty impossible. But most parents dont want their kids to have it because someone can try to add you as a friend & you dont know them. Yet, you can say yes or no to being their friend. Its no big deal.
#3- go to myspace.com and register! its easy! [ lovecrazyy's advice column | Ask lovecrazyy A Question ]
