Need to know these words and phrases in french!

Question Posted Sunday April 15 2007, 10:22 am

I need to do my french homework for tuesday but I handed my book in by accident and that has all the words and phrases I need.
I tried to use a free translator but they don't really work.
Could someone please tell me what the following are in french:
* a butchers shop
* a hairdressers
* a primary school
* we need
* we have
* a village hall
* a youth club
* there isn't a lot of
* there's too much
* there is no

Even if you only know one of them, please tell me, thanks in advance xxx

www.freetranslation.com is acutally wrong - not v.good

I'll tell you

hairdressers : Coiffeur (euse)-> use bracket ending if female

Nous avons : we have

nous faut : we need

un village hall : villiage hall

il y a : there is

il y a non : there is no

il y a trop de : there is to much

il y a pas assez de : there is not enough

mellisa is wrong, I've been learning french for quite a long time and that site is rubbish.

I can give you some of them (finally, a use for the 9 years of French class they made me take!)

We need: The verb "to need" is devoir. Following conjugation rules, you get "nous devons".

We have: The verb "to have" is avoir. The conjugated form is "nous avons".

There isn't a lot of: "Ce n'est pas beaucoup de..."

There is too much: "C'est trop..."

There is no: "Ce n'est pas de..."

Hope I helped!
