For the eating issue, don't have a lot of junk food in the house. Keep all the food healthy and simple. If you don't have any junk in the house, you won't be tempted to eat it.

As for the eating issue.
Limit junk food and all those not so healthy friendly food. Get healthy snacks [fruits, veggies, low fat yogurts] and store them in the most accessible place. Wash and cut up fruits & veggies into bite size one time snack thingers so you wouldn't dismiss it after the thought of having to wash and cut them. Turn off the kitchen lights at 8 pm. Don't eat in front of the tv [it makes you feel hungry--er]. try using salad plates instead of those big dinner plates. And erm, go out and have fun with your friends in a place where they don't sell much food!
