Steel Magnolias was a very succesful play written by Robet Harling. It was never a book btw so don't search your library for it. You might find the script though at a bookstore that sells only theatrical scripts.

The movie came out in 1989 and as you know starred Dolly Parton. For copy-right reasons you aren't likely to find part or all of the script online with that manonologue even. You might find quotes off of IMDB or another sourcebut that's probably about it.

If you really need her monologue in particular the best way to get it is by renting the actual film on DVD and transcribe it using your remote to get it exactly right.

As long as you attribute the piece you perform to that movie when you audition or do your thing at school ou're sailing as that movie is available most anywhere now.

no website actually has a monologue for any of the characters for STEEL (as in the metal) magnolias. is you look on those big movie database sites, and look on the quotes, it might be there. and it was also a play, so you could try gatting the book, if there is one, and reading it from there. maybe a library has it.
