Does the school not have a camcorder that you and the students are able to use for the project? It may be worth asking your teacher if you don't actually have one that you are able to use.

Another option might be to ask other family members to see if anyone has one lying around that you can use. Failing this you mayneed to invest in purchasing just a cheap camcorder that you can use or find a place that willhire one out to you.

Generally if you use an 8mm camcorder you shouldn't have much problems with converting the recording onto a VCR tape (hook the camcorder to a TV and video and then you play the 8mm film on the camcorder whilst hitting record on the VCR).

Alternatively, using a digital camcorder (or at least a camcorder that will allow you to import video to your PC) you can import the recording onto a PC for editing and then transfering it onto a VCR tape afterwards. An example of this can be seen at [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) where I made a recording on a digital camcorder which was imported onto my PC, edited and then transfer to VCR or a DVD (or, in this case, to Bolt).
