ok well im a 16/f struggling in high school barely passing. i have a c in my IPC class (science) and a D in english and i made a bad grade a 64 on my spanish test so basically im a screwup. and my social life is messed up because no matter how hard i try to be nice to other people they'll till be mean to me. what should i do?
Also if you find you just cannot pass or understand certain subjects you are in talk to your parents immediately and then go to the school's administration and get tested for a learning disability. This could be your hidden problem with school work.
When it comes to your social life don't worry about anyone who is being mean to you. Know in your head that they're just either jealous, or desperately want attention from somebody. The moment you show them this does not affect you any they'll move on.
Also know that these people usually get a big kick in the ass from life later about their behavior and will have to adjust. Few of these people make it in life because of their problems and overly agressive nature. In 5 years you won't remember a single one of their names.
What you should do though is work with your family as well as a adolescent psychiatrist on your social-skills, developing tactics to handle school and your studies so you'll become happier and can get along with these kids and have them liking you back.
In the meantime, at school find kids who are like yourself and would make for great friends but are in the same boat as you and don't have people to hang out with. You'll make true friends there and will start networking and having more people around you.
Forget the jocks, the so-called popular kids and focus solely on people you feel are exactly like you and need a friend. And rember this that anyone who judges you or treats you badly doens't really know you and it's too damn bad for them that they're missing out on a great girl.
Definitely get a tutor, get tested and I stress above all else get a an adolescent psychiatrist to talk to about your social problems, school, stress and how to rise above it. It will make your life so much better when you do. They'll give you the strength to do well at school and make lasting friends.
There is no shame in seeing a psychiatrist because famous people do it all the time as well as tons of normal everyday people. It will enhance your life, trust me. I know from experience. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]

Worry about your grades. Study a ton, and always do your homework. Take notes, pay attention & get extra help. Yes, that requires staying after school. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]

If you don't ever understand something in class, ask your teacher to explain it to you. Make time to go visit the teacher and ask for help. Get a tutor, study for tests.. any of those would help you keep up. If you really tried hard, you could bring your grades up and I have no doubt that you can't. Don't spend so much time worrying if people are going to like you or not. Be yourself. You have to understand that not everyone is going to like you and accept that. You don't have to try hard to impress anyone or anything. Don't even bother with those people that won't give you any respect. If those people continute being mean to you, ignore them. They're not important in your life and their opinions should not matter to you. You have your friends and family that care about you and that's all that should matter.
