if i put aloe on after tanning, will it keep the tan longer and better and make it like.. healther and more noticable?
what if i put it on after using fake tanning lotion?
LadyH answered Tuesday April 10 2007, 12:05 am: I know Aloe Vera heals the skin & relieves dryness, but I've never heard of it holding color. If you want to hold a tan longer, exfoliate BEFORE tanning & don't shower/shave within 4-5 hours AFTER tanning. You can't really make your tan "healthier" considering a tan is damaged skin. Staying out of the sun, using an SPF of 30+ sunblock, using lotion/self tanner such as Jergins (@ most drugstores) or Bare Bronze (@ Victoria's Secret, $18) would be so much healthier. If you're having a problem holding color with a certain self tanner, either apply it more often or change brands. That's all I could suggest! [ LadyH's advice column | Ask LadyH A Question ]
