teen is the teenage years (13-19). 18 and 19 are sometimes considered adult. tween and preteen are pretty much the same. they are around 10-12.

teen-13 to 19
preteen-9 to 12
tween-9 to 13

teen: 13 or greater, less than 20
preteen: less than 13
tween: greater than 9, less than 13

Teen- Ages 13-19
Preteen- 9-12
Tween- Ages 9-13
So, pretty much, preteen is the same thing as a tween. :)

Tween and preteen are basically the same thing- from around the age of nine to twelve. "Tween" is shourt for in between- you're not a kid anymore, but you're not a teenager either.
Technically, you're a teenager until you're twenty (ages 13-19) but some people consider you to be an adult when you're 18.
