In order to get your parents' trust is to earn you. You have to show them that you're responsible and can handle certain situations.
My parents are a little strict with certain things if I'm going to be around older guys, so I know what you mean about this.
Another idea is to talk to your parents and let them know that you're smart and you know not to act stupid or make wrong decisions. You're young, but not young enough to not know how to behave at a dance.
