Question Posted Wednesday April 4 2007, 5:56 pm

I answered someones question and got a one; i reported it and it was only changed to a 2.
just reading the question then my answer, why did i get such a low rating?

QUESTION:
Well my mom did some thing REALLY REALLY stupid she said when ever my cusin gets things pierced I can get them at that age she hers, and my cusin
got her belly button pierced at 13 and I just turned 13 a little bit ago so do you think I'll look like a little s*** but I really really wanna get it pierced and most of my friends have it done so i think I wanna get it
<3 Massie <3

MY ANSWER:
I love how a bellybutton piercing looks; and im currently trying to get my mom to let me have it done.
but heres the thing. youre a little young for it. People will prob think youre skanky if you get it done now. wait until youre a freshman in highschool. youll still be allowed, and it wouldnt be as wierd. if you do it now guys will just think youre a skank and thats not good

HER FEEDBACK:
Well I'm not skanky people prob. don't even think I know wat a piercing is and I don't flaunt my stomach so I've decided to get it done and I just turned 14 so my mother said if I want that could be my present. thanks you LBR, <3 Massie <3

i mean really. i knowww that she can get it. she asked what i thought, i told her what i thought. it was a question that needed an OPINION. and i guess my answer was a little rude, but not THAT rude... was it?

In my opinion, you weren't really rude -- I think your advice wasn't as helpful as she had wanted. I think the "skanky" part of your answer is what caught her attention, I would say that's most of the reason she rated you low, of course, this is only my opinion.

Most generally, L2 mods will leave a little feeback in your abuse reports, which may tell you why you received such a low rating. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

I don't think it was rude at all. She asked an opinion, and she got one. But just accept the two & go about your day. It's not about ratings, it's about helping people.

1-abuse
2-useless but good-intentioned
3-useful
4-very useful
5-above and beyond

Your answer was not useful. I probably would have given you a 3, because it was a stupid question to begin with, but that's the moderators' decision. Go to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
and click the report; the moderator may have left a comment. If they didn't, you can see what moderator changed your rating, and ask them a private question.
