when people sometimes end their question with "thanks in advance" what does that mean?

it means if you answer it, theyre just saying thanks, so they possible wont have to leave the "thanks" feedback when they rate the answer!

like if i ask ou a question and im going to say thanks anyway i say thanks in advance becase i know you're going to help me.
